Riley Canerday is the 5 year old son of Joseph and Christy Canerday of Florence. He was recently diagnosed with Neuroblastoma - the most common form of childhood cancer. He is currently a patient at Labouner Children's Hospital. When his condition becomes stable enough, he will be transferred to St. Jude. A "Saving Riley" fund has been set up at any branch of Bank Independent.
The Lela and Maggie Duncan Fund
A trust fund has been set up for Lela Fulmer Duncan and her daughter, Maggie Duncan. The Duncan's were victims of a car accident in Greenhill that occured Jaunary 29th, 2010. Nine year old Maggie was killed in the accident and Lela remains in critical condition in ICU at ECM. Donations would be used for funeral and hospital expenses. Alabama Department of Education "Child Fund"

Adult Softball Registration
The Florence Parks and Recreatin Department is registering for adult softball now through July 31st at the Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum Monday through Fridays from 8AM until 5PM. They are taking team registration for men's upper and lower division, co-ed upper and lower division, and church league. The team fee is three hundred dollars. For more information, call 760-6628.
