Wow, What A Great Weekend!
So first of all Saturday was a huge success!! Club 94.9's Saturday Night Street Party broke a record! We had over 300 hundred calls in one night!! Wow...the phones were ringing off the hook. It's my goal to make Club 94.9 on Saturday Night the number one weekend show!! I think we can do it!!! Thanks to all of those people who called in.
On Sunday I had such a great day!! Seriously it was one of those days you just wish it would never end. I got up and had breakfast with Sarah and then we watched some Japanese Anime. I have to admit I have never been a huge fan until now. We watched a movie called, "Howl's Moving Castle".
It was done by a man named Miyazaki. Let me just say, WOW! The story is really neat and the artwork is amazing. If you can rent or buy it, I highly recommend seeing this movie.
After we watched some anime, we then took our weiner dog, Odie to Spring Park in Tuscumbia. It was a really nice day for a long walk. I think we walked around the park 8 times before Odie started to act like he could not walk anymore. After that we then headed home.

Since I discovered my new interest in anime Sarah suggested we watch "The Cat Returns", which is another movie that Miyazaki helped to produce. It was kind of a weird story, but again it had very cool artwork and it was fun to watch. Another good one to see.
So that was my weekend. I am excited to be back on the air tonight. We have a great show lined up tonight. I am going to bring up something on the Hot Topic tonight that I think you will agree with. Sarah and I discussed over the weekend that if some major company said that they would pay you $10,000 a year for the rest of your life if you tattooed thier logo on your arm. I said I would do it just because of the finiancal security it would bring. She thinks I am nuts. What do you think? Would you do it? What logo would you not mind being on your body and which one would you cringe if you had to have it on you? That's coming up tonight on the show. My New Blog HEY YO!!! So today I start my new blog!! I am really excited about Star 94.9's new website. So here is what you can look forward to with my section of the site. First of all I am going (or least try) to write in my blog everyday. Check back here to see what is happening behind the scenes with the show. Also my fiance, Sarah, will be checking in from time to time to write in her own entry. She likes to explain what life is like with a radio DJ. We call this entry, "LIFE WITH D.B."
Back in January I bought a flip camera, and I take it with me EVERYWHERE, so I am going to put up a ton of videos, especially stuff that happens in the studio.
